About Dr Robert K Chan
Robert completed his medical training at the University of Melbourne and received scholarships from the National Health and Medical Research Council and the Austin Medical Research Foundation. He was awarded a PhD for research on myocardial viability and dysfunction related to coronary heart disease.
After working as an Interventional Cardiology Associate at the Andreas Gruentzig Cardiovascular Centre in USA, he returned to Melbourne and dedicated nearly 30 years performing complex coronary intervention.
He now leads the Advara HeartCare practice in Heidelberg and focuses on consulting patients with a wide range of heart problems, specialising in cardiovascular risk assessment and disease prevention.
