About Dr Ali Safaa
Dr Ali Safaa is a dedicated Interventional Cardiologist with over 10 years of experience, specialising in minimally invasive procedures including complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and intracoronary imaging and coronary physiologic assessment. He focuses on utilising advanced catheter-based technologies to reduce recovery times and improve long-term outcomes for patients with complex coronary artery disease.
Ali graduated as Top Medical Student at the University of Babylon, before completing his advanced training at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital in Queensland.
Ali’s passion for Interventional Cardiology then led him to the positions of Interventional Cardiology Fellow at the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia and Wellington Hospital in New Zealand, focusing on complex cases and further developing his skills in a range of Interventional techniques.
His special areas of interest include coronary heart disease and interventions, valvular heart disease, dyslipidaemia, heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias management.
Ali joined Advara HeartCare in 2016 and has quickly established himself as a valued member of the team. He is our site leader at the Mulgrave Private Hospital. He has published research in cardiology and continues to actively participate in our ongoing research program at Advara HeartCare.
