About Dr Amit Shah

Dr Amit Shah is a Cardiologist providing expertise in the management of general cardiology conditions but not limited to ischaemic heart disease, valvular disease and arrhythmias, with a particular sub-specialty interest in heart failure, non-ischaemic cardiomyopathies, mechanical circulatory support and cardiac transplantation. 

In addition to consultation, he performs coronary angiography, right heart catheterisation and myocardial biopsies. He is part of our dedicated team of Cardiologists at Hearts West in Armadale, Rockingham and Murdoch Hospitals. 

After completing undergraduate medical training in the UK, Dr Shah completed cardiology training in Australia, prior to a two-year fellowship in advanced heart failure; medical circulatory support and cardiac transplant. He holds an appointment as Cardiologist for the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Services at Fiona Stanley Hospital and is actively involved in research in this field.
