Cara is cardiologist who specialises in general cardiology, interventional cardiology and structural intervention, including transcatheter mitral and tricuspid transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER), transcatheter aortic valve intervention (TAVI), and percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects. Cara trained in Cardiology in Western Australia and completed a Masters of Philosophy (Research), then undertook advanced training in valvular heart disease and transvascular valvular interventions at the Oxford Heart Centre, UK. She currently holds a public appointment at Royal Perth Hospital. Cara can provide comprehensive assessment of coronary and valvular heart conditions and offer minimally invasive treatment options, and is happy to see both public and private patients.
