Dr Catherine O'Shea

Specialises in the treatment and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, with a special interest in atrial fibrillation. Also specialises in the implantation of cardiac devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators.

About Dr Catherine O’Shea

Dr Catherine O’Shea graduated from her medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2010 and went on to undertake Advanced Training in Cardiology at Flinders Medical Centre, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017.

In 2024, she completed her PhD in the remote monitoring of implantable cardiac devices, at the University of Adelaide. Her research has been presented at multiple international cardiology conferences, and published in leading international cardiology journals, including the European Heart Journal.

She has gone on to complete her Fellowship in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology in Victoria, Canada, through the University of British Columbia, in early 2025.
