About Dr Chethan Kasargod
Dr Chethan Kasargod received his medical degree (MBBS) from Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute, India and completed General Medicine residency at Auckland Hospitals, New Zealand. He then achieved his Cardiology training and fellowship in complex Adult congenital heart diseases (ACHD) at Auckland city & Starship Children’s Hospital. Dr Kasargod then pursued further training in Adult congenital heart disease and cardio obstetrics at Queen Elizabeth Hospital & Birmingham Women’s Hospital in Birmingham, UK.
Dr Chethan Kasargod works full-time as an Adult Cardiologist, ACHD specialist and cardio obstetric specialist at Auckland City Hospital & Starship Children’s hospital. He has been working with international research groups on various research projects. He has been a speaker at many national and international conferences and has co-authored several publications. Early in his professional career, he has also gained research experience at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA.
He specialises in Pre-pregnancy counselling in cardiac women, management of cardiovascular status during pregnancy and post-partum period in women with a wide spectrum of cardiac conditions.
