About Dr David Thomson
Dr David Thomson is an experienced Interventional and General Cardiologist with a strong background in both clinical and procedural cardiology. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) in 2001 at The University of Western Australia, before undertaking his basic physician training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and St John of God Hospital in Subiaco.
Dr Thomson went on to complete three years of core Cardiology training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where he developed extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease. He subsequently pursued 12 months of Interventional Cardiology sub-specialty training at the same institution, refining his skills in advanced cardiac procedures.
To further broaden his expertise, Dr Thomson completed an additional 12 months of sub-specialty training at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This centre is internationally recognised for its excellence in radial access techniques, providing Dr Thomson with advanced training in minimally invasive cardiac interventions.
Dr Thomson is dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-focused care while working collaboratively with referring practitioners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
