About Dr Jerret Lau

Dr Jerrett Lau is an Interventional Cardiologist with special clinical interest in transcatheter valve interventions, complex coronary interventions and coronary physiology. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with first class honours in 2007. He then completed his physician and cardiology training at Concord Hospital in Sydney. This was followed by a PhD in the areas of coronary physiology and platelet activation, awarded by the University of Sydney. He has since held positions as an honorary visiting medical officer at Concord Hospital and the TAVI/interventional fellow at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (UK). 

He has held clinical lecturer positions at the University of Sydney Medical School, the University of Edinburgh and Bond University. He is well published and has presented and received numerous awards for his research and clinical work both locally and internationally. His other clinical interests include: PFO closure, ASD closure, paravalvular leak closure, alcohol septal ablation and transcatheter mitral valve interventions. 

Dr Lau has moved from the UK to Adelaide with his family to join Advara HeartCare. He also holds a staff specialist position at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Dr Lau is a highly experienced coronary and structural interventional cardiologist and has particular clinical interests in transcatheter valve interventions (including TAVI), complex coronary interventions and coronary physiology. 

Dr Jerrett Lau consults widely for Advara HeartCare in both city and regional clinics.
