About Dr Karam Al-Zuhairi
Dr. Karam Al-Zuhairi is an interventional cardiologist with more than 10 years of experience as a cardiologist and more than 20 years as a medical doctor. His area of expertise is complex coronary intervention. Prior to joining Advara HeartCare, he worked as well as the head of cardiac CT and cardiac MRI unit in hospitals in Denmark.
Dr. Al-Zuhairi was awarded his MBChB from the University of Baghdad in 2000, completed his cardiology training in Aalborg University Hospital in Denmark in 2014, followed by his PhD in cardiovascular medicine in 2016.
He had sub-specialisation training in interventional cardiology in internationally renowned hospitals including Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney Australia. Following his sub-specialisation training, he then worked as a consultant interventional cardiologist in the UK, Denmark, Sweden and Australia in large University Hospitals.
Dr. Al-Zuhairi also has a special interest in cardiovascular research, publishing multiple research papers in international medical journals.
He practices across the full spectrum of cardiac disease and has particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias.
