About Dr Karen Teo
Dr Karen Teo is a Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist with special clinical interest in non invasive cardiac imaging. Karen graduated from University of Adelaide in 1995 and completed her internship, general medical and cardiology training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She was awarded the FRACP in 2002.
She has completed a PhD in Multimodality Cardiovascular imaging (cardiovascular magnetic resonance and CT) at the University of Adelaide. She also undertook a senior clinical fellowship at the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Unit of the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, U.K. and has advanced competency in CMR (level III SCMR).
Karen joined Advara HeartCare in 2007 and is also staff specialist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She has an interest in all aspects of clinical cardiology, with a particular interest in cardiac imaging with CMR and echocardiography.
Karen consults at the St Andrew’s Medical Centre and also at the Modbury, Kingswood and Gawler clinics.
