About Dr Nicholas Kerr
Dr Nicholas Kerr is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist with a special interest in treating cardiac arrhythmias. He graduated in Medicine with Honours from The University of Sydney, where he was awarded the University Medal in Physiology.
Dr Kerr completed a PhD at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and the University of New South Wales, supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council scholarship. His research focused on using heart muscle cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells to study the mechanisms of inherited arrhythmia disorders.
Dr Kerr completed his cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, and two sub-specialty fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Libin Institute, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was also awarded a Diploma in Adult Cardiac Electrophysiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
