About Dr Sam Lovibond
Dr Lovibond is a cardiologist passionate about improving cardiovascular health and is committed to providing knowledgeable, thorough and patient-centred care. He manages a broad range of cardiovascular conditions and values the strong, lasting relationships he builds with his patients and their families.
Originally from Hobart, Dr Lovibond graduated with Honours in Medicine from the University of Tasmania before completing specialist physician training in Melbourne. He then undertook three years of advanced training in Cardiology, followed by a two-year Interventional Heart Failure Fellowship at The Alfred Hospital. During this time, he gained extensive experience in the implantation and management of cardiac devices, as well as the treatment of complex heart failure.
Dr Lovibond is a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist through the Heart Rhythm Society (USA) and also holds postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Education from the University of Melbourne. He remains actively involved in cardiovascular research and education, regularly presenting at scientific meetings in Australia and internationally, with publications in both national and international peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals.
