Dr Wai-ee Thai is a CTCA accredited specialist with extensive experience in Cardiac CT imaging (CTCA and CAC). She is part of the Advara HeartCare CTCA team, providing streamlined cardiac care services in Melbourne.
Special clinical interest in non invasive cardiac imaging and is a cardiovascular imaging specialist.
About Dr Wai-ee Thai
In addition to General Cardiology consultation, Dr Wai-ee Thai specialises in non-invasive cardiac imaging (transthoracic, transoesophageal and exercise stress echocardiography) as well as cardiac computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. She also has a special interest in Heart Failure management and leads our Heart Failure Management Clinic at Mulgrave.
Wai-ee graduated from Medicine at Monash University with honours and completed her advanced cardiology and further specialist training in echocardiography at Monash Heart, Southern Health. She underwent a post doctoral non-invasive cardiac imaging and research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston USA in cardiac CT and MRI.
In conjunction with her clinical work, Wai-ee’s research interest lies in the use of non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques to assess myocardial structure and function. She has presented her research both at national and international scientific conferences and has multiple publications in cardiology and radiology peer reviewed journals.
