Cardiac testing that works with your practice
At Advara HeartCare, it is our purpose to improve Australia’s Heart Health. To do this, we are committed to delivering care to patients in a way that works for them.
We are pleased to partner with primary care providers to bring Holter monitoring and cardiac echo services directly to your clinic. We use a patient-centric model of care that expands access for your practice while integrating seamlessly into your workflows.
How does it work?
Our integrated cardiac testing services expand access for your patients, enabling them to undergo non-invasive cardiac testing in the comfort and convenience of their current clinic while providing an opportunity for you to expand your practice and differentiate your service.
Two different types of tests are currently offered as part of our primary care cardiac testing offering:
- Echocardiograms
- Holter monitoring
Both integrated services work slightly differently, but both enable your practice to expand your service offering to patients in a comfortable environment.
Echocardiograms
An echocardiogram is a non-invasive test that assesses cardiac structure and function. An echo is a useful and often first line diagnostic test for a range of clinical indications, as well as a screening tool for pathology that may remain clinically silent. Utilisation of echocardiography helps to identify and diagnose heart disease, guide effective treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
It can be hard for patients to go off-site for testing, so we will bring the testing services to your clinic weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on the volume of referrals generated by your clinic. Advara HeartCare will bring the portable equipment to your practice, and a qualified cardiac sonographer will utilise an otherwise empty clinic room to perform the testing.
Our 100% cloud-based image archiving and reporting solution allows live transfer of patient images for real-time review by our specialist Cardiologists. Clinics will also have access to this web-based portal, to be able to easily review the images and reports if required. Once reported by the cardiologist, the reports will be transferred to your practice management software by secure HL7 messaging.
Holter Monitoring
For patients suspected of having a cardiac arrhythmia, Holter monitoring provides a continuous recording of a patient’s heart rhythm over 24-48 hours, and it helps detect and diagnose abnormal heart rhythms or conduction issues that may go unnoticed during a standard ECG test.
This service enables the integration of Holter monitoring into your clinic as part of your standard weekly workflow, without the need to send patients offsite for testing. We provide you with all the hardware, software, resources and training for your staff (nurse or admin) to be able to offer Holter monitoring locally to the convenience of your patients.
- Once you sign up for the service, we will send the monitor and resources to your clinic.
- Training will be provided to your team to ensure smooth and efficient running of your service.
- Your staff will set up and apply the monitor to the patient.
- Clinician-friendly reports will be returned to your practice management software within 24 hours of the device data being downloaded.
- Patients will remain in the comfort of your clinic while receiving access to high-quality cardiac care.
