About A/Prof Jalal Zamani
A/Prof Jalal Zamani is an interventional cardiologist providing comprehensive care in general cardiology, with advanced expertise in the management of complex coronary and structural heart conditions.
Jalal will initially be based in Heidelberg, where he will offer consultations to patients with a wide variety of cardiac conditions. He will perform interventional procedures at Warringal Private Hospital.
Jalal completed his undergraduate medical studies at Tehran University and his cardiology specialty training at Shiraz University in Iran, with further interventional training in Germany and Switzerland.
In 1994, he led a team of doctors in performing the first angioplasty case at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. He was appointed Associate Professor of Cardiology at Shiraz University and, for more than twenty years, was actively involved in a substantial number of cardiovascular interventions, including complex coronary and peripheral vascular procedures.
In 2015, he migrated to Australia, where he completed a cardiology interventional fellowship and a peer review year at The Alfred Hospital. He is fully recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as a cardiologist in Australia. In addition to performing invasive coronary angiography and interventions, he is also qualified to report CT angiographies.
Jalal also holds hospital appointments at Sunshine Hospital (Western Health), Western Private Hospital, and St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
